Director Morehart discusses criteria for when the campus should close due to bad weather, stating "our basic assumption is that Stark will always be open." A Gernal Maintenance and Warehouse Building goes up. The campus celebrates its 31st anniversary. Although the concept of offering Kent State classes off of the Kent Campus dates back to 1912, it was not until the fall of 1946, when KSU opened its center in Canton. Weekend College is offered with classes being taught on Saturdays and Sundays.
