About This Journal

Kaleidoscope is a historical review of creative writing and art work submitted by staff, faculty, and students on the Kent State University at Ashtabula Campus. The longest running journal of its kind on the Ashtabula Campus, this collection contains over fifteen years of social commentary and creative output.

Student interest in creative writing contests and the promotion of campus literary interests and expression created the demand for this journal, as recorded in a 1968 issue of The Martlet, a historical Ashtabula Campus news publication.

During the length of its publication, the editorial board has included student members and advisors of the Creative Writing Society and Kaleidoscope, engaged Ashtabula faculty and administrators, and experimental course students and faculty.
