Abstract

The article provides a review of a short story "The Partridge Festival" by American writer and essayist Flannery O'Connor where the author speaks on why the story was excluded from the seven stories collection of O'Connor and says this story is more more self-conscious of its concern about scapegoating and hyper-awareness of victimization. It talks about frequent writing about the poor, the grotesque and the postwar culture of commercialism and conformity describing violence post-victimage.
