The Women's Leadership Symposium is an annual one-day event. The Fourth Annual Women's Leadership Symposium: Framing Art and Protest was held in March of 2017. The symposium featured Catherine Holmes of the Office of New American Center of Syracuse NY. Ms. Holmes has worked at Catholic Charities since 2009 when she was hired as a Medicaid Service Coordinator. She then became the volunteer coordinator and finally manager of the Office for New Americans which is a program for English, citizenship and employment for refugees. Ms. Holmes was previously a recreation therapist at Elmcrest Children's Center where she worked with troubled youth for 15 years. She is graduate LeMoyne College.
