Abstract

We can collect better information than what is provided by the Student Survey of Instruction (SSI) and we can do it simply. For the past several semesters, the presenter has used an end-of-course survey to indirectly assess students’ mastery of course learning outcomes as a means to get away from satisfaction assessment. This presentation will focus on the process for developing that evaluation and the information gained, both qualitative and quantitative.
